Educational Qualification :

Professor :

Super Specialty posts and Broad Specialty posts: i) The Candidate possess medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the IMC Act of 1956 .

ii) Post Graduate qualification , e.g MD or Ms or a recognized qualification equivalent .

iii) D.M / M.Ch in relevant discipline only applicable for Broad Specialty posts .

Non-Medical posts : Post Graduate qualification / Doctorate degree of a recognized university .

Assistant Professor : Essential Qualifications are same as for Professor .

Age Limit (As on 05-09-2014): For Professor not exceeding 58 years and For Assistant Professor not exceeding 50 years .

Selection Procedure : The Selection of Candidates will be made on the basis of performance in the interview .

Application Fee :

Rs.500/- for General And OBC Category candidates

Rs.250/- for SC/ST Category candidates .

The fee should be paid as a demand draft in favour of the Accounts office , JIPMER , Puducherry Payable at sBI, JIPMER branch , Puducherry - 605006.
